Emergency Response Project
Objective
Key Of Life worked on helping people that got affected by the explosion of Beirut port on the 4th of august 2020. Depending each individual’s needs, our aid spread across rehabilitation, food, clothes, financial, medical and psychological support.
Activities
Key of life networked and coordinated with several local actors in order to ensure the proper delivery of services to the families in need.
Key Of Life Supported 793 Families based on the following criteria:
- Families living in areas near the explosion and got affected by it (physically and psychologically)
- Families that have widowed or divorced women
- Families with Pregnant women
- Families that have elderlies
- Families that have children with no work or financial resources.
Capacity building training for CBO’s
Key of Life believes that no sole active actor can be enough to create change and community empowerment. Therefore, In order to engage the community in its intervention, an emergency community-based committee was established in order to reach the affected individuals.
This committee got empowered with 4 trainings:
1 Psychological First Aid Training
2 Needs Assessment Training
3 Code of Conduct for Child Protection Training
4 Hotline Response Training
BETTER TOGETHER معاً أفضل"
“BETTER TOGETHER” project provided psychosocial support activities, as well as awareness-raising activities, for children and youth between the ages of 9 and 18 years old. The project aimed to provide protection information, well-being activities, address mental and social distress, and encourage coping strategies and conflict resolution. It also focused on teaching critical thinking techniques and acceptance of others.
Achievement:
- 1 event was implemented on the 15th of December 2022 where 88 Children Participated in the event.
- 32 PSS sessions were conducted targeting 60 Children
- 32 Awareness raising sessions were conducted targeting 200 Children
- 8 Self-defense sessions were conducted targeting 10 youth
- 1 Solidarity initiative event was implemented on the 13th of April 2023 where 10 youth planned and implemented the event.
Ensuring the Protection for women survivors of GBV
(Gender Based Violence) from all nationalities Project
Objective
The project aims at strengthening the mental health services and interventions for communities suffered from GBV from all nationalities, by empowering individuals and mainstreaming protection and mental health wellbeing.

Empowering Women in Akkar Atika Through Innovative Solutions:
Advancing Gender Equality and Economic Empowerment
The project aims to ensure that survivors of Gender-Based Violence (GBV) are protected from further threats and empowered to recover from their traumatic experiences, to facilitate a shift in social norms, making violence against women universally unacceptable regardless of social or economic status, to enhance the economic empowerment of survivors and increase their capacity to recover from GBV incidents.

Mental Health for all!
The project aims strives to provide accessible and tailored mental health support for all individuals, including specialized services for GBV survivors. With both face-to-face and virtual counseling options, our project ensures that professional help is available to everyone. We offer a range of therapeutic services—from individual and group therapy to family counseling—that support personal healing. Our mindfulness sessions and art therapy workshops promote emotional well-being, while community awareness campaigns help reduce stigma and enhance support for mental health issues. Additionally, we invest in the self-care and professional development of our frontline staff to maintain high-quality care.
